Former Brazil and Manchester Metropolis participant Robinho has been arrested to serve a nine-year jail sentence for rape. 

Robinho, 40, was arrested at his flat in Santos on Thursday. 

He was discovered responsible in Italy in 2017 for his half within the gang rape of an Albanian lady at an evening membership in Milan in January 2013.

The previous Premier League participant, whose actual identify is Robson De Souza, was considered one of six males discovered responsible of assaulting the Albanian lady.

A Brazilian courtroom upheld the request on Wednesday.
