López Obrador specified that there will be a meeting with the parents of the young students but it will be in the coming weeks.

“We are still doing research, we need it. I am going to meet with them at the time, because I estimate that in about 15, 20 more days, I want to have evidence, because I want to talk to them, and evidence of how the investigation was manipulated to protect certain people, the responsibility they have. their lawyers and the supposed human rights defenders,” he explained.

For several days, the parents of the young people have held a sit-in in the Zócalo of Mexico City in search of dialogue with the President of the Republic, which was even maintained during the start of the presidential candidate Claudia’s campaign. Sheinbaum.

“The door is going to be fixed and there is no problem, what they want is to provoke,” commented the president.

The president accused that there is a provocative attitude on the part of the lawyers of the parents of the young people and some organizations, with the objective, he said, of harming him politically.

“Just tell the parents that we are dedicated and we are advancing in the investigation but what is happening is that they are being manipulated by the group headed by (Emilio) Álvarez Icaza, the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights of the OAS, conservative groups of right that what they want is to harm us politically speaking,” he said.

To reach the outside of the doors of the National Palace, the parents of the relatives and students first tore down the fences that are installed on the corner of Moneda.

With a white van labeled with the initials of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), the protesters hit door number one, which opened.

On the walls near the door that was knocked down, phrases such as “we want dialogue”, “+43” were painted.

Elements of the Armed Forces, who are in charge of the security of the National Palace, deployed an operation to remove the protesters, for which tear gas was used.

When asked if he is safe in the National Palace, the president stated that he is safe in any part of the country and that the people take care of him.
